Driving to Clinic
If you are driving to the clinic, there is valet parking right in front of the ACC building. The cost is $2 for cars with a handicap placard. If you do not have a placard, ask for a signed clinic note for families that will get you the $2 rate.
Airports
Worcester has a regional airport that is just 10 minutes from the clinic. Currently, JetBlue airlines offers direct flights into/out of Worcester from JFK in New York City as well as from Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale in Florida. American Airlines provides service into/out of Worcester from Philadelphia. Delta Airlines starts its services to Worcester (via Detroit) in August 2019.
The next closest airport is Logan airport in Boston, 44 miles from the clinic. The ride takes anywhere from 45 – 70 minutes depending on traffic. When planning your trip, be mindful of rush hour traffic! The most congested times on the road are morning rush hour (heading from Worcester into Boston) and evening rush hour (heading from Boston out to Worcester).
Bradley airport in Hartford, CT and Greene airport in Providence, RI are about 75 minutes from Worcester. Logan is the largest and busiest of the three, but may also provide the best fares so please look into all three as well as Worcester Regional airport before making your travel arrangements.
Airport Transfers
From Worcester: The best way to get from Worcester airport to UMass is via taxi. Red Cab 508-792-9999 has typical taxis and two wheelchair vans. The cost is approximately $25 from Worcester airport to UMass Chan Medical School.
From Logan: The Logan Express is a wheelchair accessible shuttle bus that runs every 30 minutes on weekdays from Logan airport to Framingham, MA (about 20 minutes from Worcester). On weekends it runs hourly from 7:00 a.m. until 1 p.m. from Logan and from 6:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. from Framingham. The cost is $12 one way for adults, free for children under 17 years if traveling with family. If you plan to use the wheelchair accessible feature, please contact Fox Bus Company at 508-865-6000 at least 24 hours in advance. You will need to provide approximate shuttle service time. For example, if your flight arrives at 2:15 p.m., you will likely be on the 3:00 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. shuttle; if your flight arrives at 2:45 p.m., you will likely be on the 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. shuttle. From the Framingham shuttle terminal, you can get a taxi or Uber/Lyft into Worcester. More information about Logan Express is available twenty-four hours at 1-800-23-LOGAN.
From Hartford or Providence: Red Cab will do the trip from Hartford or Providence (approximately 75 minutes). However it might make more sense to rent a car, especially if you plan to be in town for a couple of days.

There are many hotels to fit varying budgets near UMass. They’re easy to find on Google (search “hotels near UMass Chan Medical School”) or on Booking.com. Make sure to ask at the time of reservation if a discount is offered to UMass patients. Please also ask if they have a shuttle that can take you to and from UMass Chan Medical School – a lot of hotels within 5 miles of our clinic offer this service.
