Fuding William Rui, B.S., MS
Informaticist IIIFuding currently works as the Informaticist III for the Data Sciences team. He works on Geographic Information System (GIS) applications for visualizing clinical data and identifying patterns. He is responsible for the design and development of website and database systems with REDCap for multiple PIs; and consulting IT customers on REDCap design, programming, and bug fixing. More recently, he is responsible for Mirth and ArcGIS administration. William has more than 15 years of experience working as a Sr. Application Systems Analyst, Data Developer and leading Software Engineer in the fields of clinical research, academic medicine, and translational science. Prior to working at UMass Chan Medical School, William was a Senior Applications Systems Analyst at the Tufts Medical Center Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies. Before that, he worked as a senior software engineer at Kronos Incorporated. William obtained his Master degrees in Computer Science and Physics at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. When not on the job, William enjoys watching sports and rooting for local teams like the Red Sox and the Patriots.

Benjamin Krinisky
Application Database Developer IBorn and raised in Worcester County, Ben has always had a knack for technology. He graduated from Westfield State University with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. His position at UMass Chan Medical School is his first full time development position. Since his arrival, he has continued to improve his programming skills while working with Microsoft’s .NET Framework (MVC, Web API, WPF, SQL). Ben prides himself in his ability to translate technical phrases and ideas into a form that everyone can understand. Likewise, he also enjoys interacting with customers and converting their needs into workable solutions.

Qiming (Timmy) Shi, B.S. , MS GISDE
Associate Data ScientistQiming Shi is a staff GIS Analyst at Data Sciences team. He received his bachelor degree in Earth Information Science and Technology at China University of Geosciences. He is currently a MS candidate in GISDE program at Clark University and working as a Geospatial Intern for the Data Science team. His role, consist of working on many different projects covering all aspects of GIS. Most recently, his primary focus is to visualize UMass patients spatially and to find the underlying spatial and temporal pattern of patients’ distribution around Central Massachusetts. He also has created a custom web mapping application using Shiny and Google API to integrate patients’ distribution based on ICD9/10 code. On his free time, he enjoys browsing and mimicking fancy data visualization websites and examples as well as driving around New England area
