UMass Chan Department of Psychiatry Visit China

Dr. Douglas Ziedonis, chairman of UMass Chan Department of Psychiatry, led a delegation to visit China. UMass Chan Department of Psychiatry and the Mental Health Institute of West China Hospital has a joint research project on “Institutional Intervention on Smoking Cessation”. Part of the visit was to train the doctors and nurses at West China Hospital to carry out the research. They also visited Peking University (and their affiliated mental hospital) in Beijing and Tongji Hospital in Shanghai to explore potential collaboration possibilities.
