Pipeline Dreams: High School is 12-week hybrid program engineered to empower high school juniors and seniors exploring potential careers in medicine and research with motivation and knowledge. The curriculum exposes students to health equity, research, and over 15 potential medical and health allied careers while working together with college undergraduate peer-mentors. Students convene weekly online on Zoom and attend three punctuating in-person touch points to enhance to online experience.

  • Online students learn about the path to medical and healthcare careers meeting a Black and brown guest speaker from a different medical or clinical specialty each week.

  • Online in small groups students learn public health concepts, connect with pre-med undergraduate facilitators, and create a research proposal investigating a racial health disparity of their choice

  • Students connect in-person to attend a medical education conference, a Hands-on Healthcare Experience, and present their group research proposals at the Student Research Expo.
