Collaborative in Health Equity
URiM Community Workforce Development and Capacity Building – The thrust of this pillar is to nurture existing and new community investment opportunities which foster community workforce development and capacity building that engages the local Worcester community, centers community-identified research priorities, and amplifies the voices of those historically marginalized and underrepresented in medicine (URiM). In so doing, we aim to nurture deeper and enduring trust, community engagement, and research participation, while bolstering pathways to retain diverse representation across the UMass Chan Community, its regional partners and clinical affiliates in research, education, clinical care delivery, and service.
Patients R Waiting hosts a health equity book club each month with a discussion on the last Wednesday of the month at 7 pm EST
