IMPACT 2025
A message from Chancellor Michael F. Collins

Our strategic plan, called IMPACT 2025, serves as a critical and compelling catalyst for the future growth, success and impact that UMass Chan Medical School has on our diverse communities throughout Massachusetts and across the world.
The momentum being experienced across our organization is palpable as we reach the half-way mark of this five-year plan. Indeed, meaningful advances have been made in each of our six strategic pillars: Education, Basic Science Research, Translational Research, Community & Global Impact, Operational Excellence & Financial Stewardship, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
The 2023 annual progress report, which can be found here, provides details on our progress. Examples are too numerous to count and include a new curriculum for students in the T.H. Chan School of Medicine, the rapid emergence of a new education and research building along the western edge of our campus green, the recruitment of talented new faculty, and the launch of a new Health Equity Collaborative.
You will recall that in 2022, the IMPACT 2025 strategic plan was updated to reflect our new name following the transformational philanthropic gift from The Morningside Foundation and the addition of a pillar specifically devoted to DEI goals.
