CFAR Core Facilities
The UMASS CFAR Science Cores are committed to serving the needs of the many independent investigators conducting HIV/AIDS research at the UMass Chan Medical School. The Core Directors work closely with the CFAR Leadership and Scientific Working Group directors to fully support the evolving goals and priorities of the UMASS CFAR. Collaborations and communication are cultivated and newly identified research opportunities and existing programs strongly supported. The Cores thus provide essential reagents, services, facilities, training and technical expertise in support of basic, translational and clinical HIV/AIDS research programs. Priorities of the Cores also include support for educational initiatives, scientific mentoring, and HIV/AIDS-related outreach activities.
