Mary Munson, PhD
Research Focus - Elucidating the Molecular Mechanisms that Control Vesicle Membrane Trafficking
- Understanding the function of regulatory proteins and complexes that provide spatial and temporal control of membrane fusion in exocytosis and endocytosis
- Dissecting the function of exocytosis regulators in cell growth and division, and intercellular signaling
- Uncovering critical insights into connections between regulators of the endocytic pathway with autophagy, apoptosis and neutrophil disorders
- Exploring how upregulation or dysfunction of these regulatory factors contributes to cancer cell growth, metastasis and invasion
