Welcome to the Li Lab

The focus of the Li Lab is on enabling mRNA-based therapeutics beyond vaccines. Specifically, we are interested in 1) developing a potent, durable, and non-immunogenic mRNA platform by engineering internal ribosome entry sites (IRES); and 2) identifying the immunogenic side products in current mRNA preparations and understanding how the human innate immune system senses them.
