BOLD-EM Elective
Building on Leadership and Diversity in Emergency Medicine: July 8-August 2nd, 2024
The BOLD-EM program is open to UMass Chan and visiting students from diverse backgrounds. This 4-week intensive summer program introduces students to the different facets of emergency medicine and primes them for a future career in emergency medicine leadership through shadowing, mentorship, and experiential learning.
We encourage first-year medical students motivated to pursue EM as a potential career path to apply. Students who are underrepresented in medicine are encouraged to apply. We are offering a limited number of stipends up to $1500 for eligible students.
The Program: BOLD-EM offers a combination of didactic and clinical training that will provide you with experiences in different aspects of emergency medicine and emergency medicine subspecialties. Each student will be paired with a faculty mentor and will interact with our faculty, fellows, and residents.
