This program is an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students studying  sciences such as chemistry, physics, computer science and mathematics to gain experience doing cutting-edge research in quantitative and systems biology. The program will help students develop a foundational understanding of biology and gain expertise in laboratory skills that will enable them to pursue graduate careers in quantitative biology.

Students will participate in research in a DSB lab and will be paired with a graduate student or post-doc to optimize learning and engagement. During these weeks, there will be continued curriculum of research lectures from faculty, workshops focused on building experimental and analytic skills, and social events to encourage network building.

•  The program will start on May 26th and continue for 10 weeks until August 2nd. At the conclusion students will take part in a symposium and present their research project to the department members.
•  Housing and transportation to and from campus is included along with a stipend of $4,000 paid in full upon completion of the program requirements. 
• The first year is limited to six students and the deadline for applications is March 1st.

• Copy of a current unofficial transcript
• Copy of previous undergraduate institution transcripts
• A personal statement (1-2 pages describing personal background interest & why you would like to be part of this program)
• Two (2) letters of recommendation
