Mary Awad, MD

Mary grew up in Hudson, N.H., and attended the University of New Hampshire where she studied biochemistry and molecular and cellular biology. Following undergrad, she worked as a research assistant studying the role of master transcription factors on the epigenetic landscape of varying pediatric cancers at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Cancer Center. She later attended UMass Chan Medical School where she was first introduced to the field of dermatology. She continued to conduct research at the MGH Cancer Research Center with a focus on skin cancer. She is currently completing her intern year at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and is very excited to return to UMass Chan for residency. Mary is passionate about science, teaching and patient care and she hopes to craft a career where she can be involved in all three interests. Outside of work, Mary enjoys hikes with her dog and husband (bernedoodle and anesthesiologist, respectively), yoga, attending comedy shows, listening to live music, podcasts and exploring new restaurants. -
Sabrina House

Hometown: Smithton, PASabrina grew up in a small town about an hour from Pittsburgh, PA. She attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and then went directly to medical school in Philadelphia. She completed her medical training at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland. Sabrina has worked as an Army Dermatologist in both Virginia and Germany. She is extremely excited to join the UMass Dermatology team and train in Mohs Surgery. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband, Tyler, and two children, Evelyn and Owen. She has enjoyed traveling to many places over her career and hopes to explore some of the Northeast while at UMass. She also loves hiking, cooking, and baking.
