How to apply
Eligibility
Per the NIH, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- All trainees are required to pursue their research training full time, normally defined as 40 hours per week
- Trainees must have received a PhD, MD, DDS, or comparable doctoral degree from an accredited domestic or foreign institution. Comparable doctoral degrees include but are not limited to, the following: DMD, DC, DO, DVM, OD, DPM, ScD, EngD, DrPH, DNSc, DPT, PharmD, ND (Doctor of Naturopathy), DSW, PsyD, as well as a doctoral degree in nursing research.
Application deadline
The 2024-2025 application period is now closed. Applications will open for 2025-2026 in early 2025.
How to apply
To complete the online application, you will need to complete the online application and upload the following documents:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Undergraduate and graduate transcripts
- Personal statement (1 page, maximum)
- List of references who will provide a letter of recommendation (do not upload letters, only list the references)
- 2 letters of recommendation (include one letter from your most recent research mentor). Mentors should email their letters of recommendation directly to CODERTrainingProgram@umassmed.edu
