Global Health – This pillar seeks to advance global health equity through longitudinal collaborative partnerships and global bilateral exchange to improve health, health care service, research and education through sustained impact. We will achieve this by: collaborating with Worcester’s universities and UMass Chan entities and regional partners to build and strengthen a vibrant, multi-disciplinary global health community; enhancing the visibility and prominence of global and migrant health research, educational, clinical, and service efforts. In so doing, we will become a regional leader in global and migrant health research, education, clinical care, and service
In my role as Director of Global Health, my first goal is to build a comprehensive database of global health activities occurring across our UMass institutions including UMass Memorial, SOM, GSN and GSBS. In light of this, we want to start with a brief survey which will take you 2-3 mins to complete. Once we receive this information, we will be reaching out for more details. We are also in the process of building a website where we hope to showcase your work. Additionally, we will be reaching out as we start planning future Global Health activities including educator meetings, seminar series, symposia and more.
Feel free to reach out with any thoughts, questions, comments.
Thank you,
