John C. Lindstedt
Executive Vice Chancellor, Administration and Finance
John C. Lindstedt, CPA, in his role as the executive vice chancellor for administration and finance at UMass Chan Medical School, is responsible for developing the campus’ long-range financial planning, annual operating budget, and indirect cost rate, and overseeing campus-wide operations, all in support of advancing the mission and strategic goals of UMass Chan. He previously served as the associate vice chancellor for administration and finance.
Prior to joining the Medical School in 2016, Lindstedt was a key member of the finance leadership team at Boston Medical Center for 17 years, during which time he served as a system vice president for finance and chief financial officer of the faculty practice foundation. During his time at BMC, he helped design and implement a variety of significant financial improvements, and partnered with the foundation’s chief executive to develop a multi-year strategic plan focused on growth, retention and benefits.
Lindstedt is a cum laude graduate of Northeastern University and a certified public accountant in Massachusetts.
