Project Groups
A Collaborative is a group of individuals with an interest in a focused area in Health or Biological Sciences Education that represents a relatively new area (like simulation) or a key target area in education (like competency-based education). Collaboratives will be chosen after an application process and those chosen will demonstrate how they are meeting an institutional need. The collaborative will be convened and the group will then refine their chosen idea for development, planning and integration of the idea into educational programs. The collaboratives are designed to meet an institutional need in a desired area for educational program expansion and integration. Once this new idea is implemented there may be room for its continuation and the possible development of educational scholarship.
A Research Project group is a group focused on an area of educational scholarship that represents a topic of interest to the schools the Academy serves. The group will apply to carry out their project and chosen project groups will then refine their research aim and design and execute a project and assess appropriate education outcomes. Research project groups will be expected to present their findings at local, national and even international conferences.
