The Mission of the UMass Chan Health Education Academy for Leadership and Learning is to promote the success of our educational program through the deliberate development of an interprofessional cadre of educational leaders skilled in a scholarly approach to teaching and learning and to foster the development of a professional identity as educators.  Our Vision is to recognize and support educators in their pursuit of mastery. 

We plan to achieve our vision through:

• Fostering the career development of both clinician and scientist educational leaders.

• Promoting longitudinal engagement of individuals in educational programming, that goes beyond contributing to stand-alone lectures or faculty development programs.  

• Developing a clinician and scientist Education Leaders Fellowship. 

• Developing a clear organizational structure for supporting faculty involved in the Academy. 

• Creating transparent mechanisms to inform departments of opportunities to increase involvement in the Academy.
