NeuroNexus Institute faculty members promote neuroscience education through didactic teaching in medical school and graduate school classes, hosting summer high school students and college undergraduate students and interns in their research labs, mentoring graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and medical residents and interns.
The NNI, together with participating departments, sponsors the Central Massachusetts Brain Bee.
Many NNI faculty serve as research mentors and guidance committee members for graduate students in the UMass Chan Graduate Program in Neuroscience, within the Basis Biomedical Sciences Division of the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
At the postgraduate level (e.g., after receiving the MD degree), UMass Chan has a wide range of internships, residencies and fellowships in the neurosciences, including:
- Anesthesiology
- Neurology
