In 2023, I received my BA in Biochemistry & Biophysics from Amherst College, where I completed a thesis investigating the molecular mechanisms of iron homeostasis in plants. My role in the Li lab is to study how the secondary and tertiary structures of IRESs affect cap independent translation and use these discoveries to advance mRNA-based therapeutics.
